Many of you who know me, know that I do not believe in the oil crisis. It is just too far-fetched to believe. The Caspian Sea, the Arctic just to mention a few. I have never bought into the story. I have also mentioned the fact that two oil rich Countries that were straying from trading oil from the American dollar to the Euro were Iraq and Iran. Hmmm…interesting, wouldn’t you say? The U.S economy is already on a downward spiral and this would crush the economy as you know it.
It’s a perplexing situtation we find ourselves in. I don’t think it is right to wage war and kill innocent people over this. Far too much devastation has already occured. But, no one wants to see the United States fall into ruins. This is where it is headed. So many Americans will suffer, and it will have a huge impact on Canada as well. What can be done? I don’t know. What would you do?
If we hadn’t gone half-cocked around the world with our fists first, causing crisis after crisis across the globe maybe we wouldn’t be in this situation now. If we had have engaged in dialogue, and went to other countries with well-meaning help and common good, instead of hidden agendas, trying to control, bankrupt, blackmail and lie, things would be different.
The thing is. We did do that. We can’t back track, we can’t change the facts. We have murdered innocent people, destroyed economies, used poorer nations, ignored human rights, abused, tortured, waged bogus wars, all in the name of money and power. To be the top dog. No one can stay on top forever. Knowing that, and realizing that times have changed, we should have been looking for other, peaceful ways to negotiate our needs. But we continued down the path of destruction. And we are not winning the battle.
We face a difficult time ahead. I don’t see any other outcome. The hard times are coming and we might as well face it. I don’t think there is a solution.
I wish nothing more than for someone to prove me wrong. Because the reality of the stituation scares me. It’s hard enough for the average person to get through life right now.
I know I have posted quite a few video clips this week. But after I watched this video called “The Energy Non-Crisis” over at The Invisible Opportunity it only confirmed what I have been talking about. If I could suggest one thing to explain the situation we are facing it would be this video. I know it is just over an hour long, but it will open your eyes to what is happening and why. It’s a chilling wake up call. If you ever wanted to know who “THEY” really are, watch this. If you wondered why politicians are afraid to speak out, watch this. If you want to know who really makes profit off the oil, watch this.
What do we do now? Do we continue to kill people across the globe, and our own sons or daughters, over this, knowing it is most likely a no-win situation. Do we just brace ourselves for a very hard crash and try to pick up the pieces after? Many people in North America will suffer with the loss of homes, jobs and well-being. Is there another option?
What do you think?
On a side note they also have this short clip that is full of interesting stats. Globalization and the Information Age - Shift Happens.
